A Post A Day…Something Something.

test

Podcasts are my solution to insomnia so, in ways, this is a continuation post.  Instead of just trying to do sleep unsuccessfully, I decided to make another post while listening to podcasts.  It makes me feel productive and maybe it will lead somewhere.  I don’t know where but…that’s life.

You are what you listen to

Podcasts!

I am going to list my favorite Podcasts because I listen to quite a few as I pretend to do work.  Now, this list isn’t going to be for everyone, I have a very strange taste of things I like, I like True-Crime, I like history, I like comedy, and I hate everything else.  So let’s go

My Favorite Murder
I was going to make the image smaller, but damn it’s a good picture of them so Large it is

My Favorite Murder

This is one of my favorite podcasts, although as I have binged listened to their selection I find myself listening to it less and less.  The theme of this podcast is Georgia Hardstark and Karen Kilgariff each takes turns telling a story about a murder.  They are both very charming, funny, and opinionated women that I enjoy listening to.  I am not great with names, and I can not tell you the episode number but my favorite stories is one of a female who survived after having her limbs chopped and being thrown off a cliff for dead.   Once you get past the disturbing instance, it does at least kind of have a happy ending (at least as happy as a story about a murdering rapist can be).  Definitely listen to them if you have not already.

They also have a Just Listen or something podcast company, where they promote other shows that are similar to theirs.  I have not grown attached to any of those but you can always check their page for more recommendations.

Podcast Number Two – The Dollop

The Dollop Cover

Gareth Reynolds and Dave Anthony host this podcast where the idea is that Dave surprises Gareth with a bizarre detailed story of history.  There are also reverse Dollops where Gareth plays the role of Anthony in it.  My personal favorite is the one that goes over Rube Waddell, a low IQ Baseball player who was fascinating and perhaps hilariously, got distracted by firetrucks and would at times leave games to follow them.

It is also worth mention that they have their own UK version of the Dollop but with very less episodes

Baby-sitters Club Club

It's their Logo
That’s a pretty Banging Banner from them

This is a new discovery of mine.  That I am surprisingly a huge fan of.  The Idea behind this is that two grown men read the Baby-Sitters Club in order and then discussion all the themes that went into the book.  It is a comedy it shouldn’t be taken very serious.  The hosts are new names to me, but I do hope they expand and do more in a similar style, meshing nostalgia with sometimes intellectual humor.

There are more podcasts that I like but as I said, I have insomnia, I am very tired, so three will surffice for now.  I hope you try these Podcasts out, and if you enjoy them, let me know, I need people to talk to.  I wouldn’t say I am lonely, but I enjoy talking about the weird things I love and not many people get it.

just a representation of happy

As always, thank you for even reading my post, best wishes in all your endeavors, and if you ever need anything and think that I can help with very minimal effort, I am sometimes down to help.  Have a great day, website chairman and ganstapenguin CEO,

Jamison

  1. God Jamison, you did it again, another Banger of a post, it’s damn shame that you missed the Live Journal Era, you would probably be king or at least a a duke in the old world order,

    1. And the built in WordPress comment system that you no way programmed or developed, top notch. I don’t think I have seen anyone use it as effectively as you!!
